2016-2019
I joined the Office of the Compliance, Advisor, Ombudsman (CAO) at the World Bank Group in 2016, where I was the organization's youngest full staff hire. CAO's mandate is to investigate adverse impacts related to Bank projects, facilitate stakeholder remedy, and advise on ways to mitigate future issues. I was part of a small advisory team, which provided guidance to the World Bank President and senior leadership, as well as the board committee on development effectiveness. I worked on things like energy in Latin America, infrastructure in Sub-Saharan Africa, and agriculture in Asia, among other investment areas. I made the uncommon decision to leave after four years because I wanted to work more closely on technology challenges.
