Co is the first multiplayer, model agnostic platform that lets non-technical users build, share, and use generative AI tools. Unlike other AI chat applications, it's collaborative by design. Users chat with each other and AIs in a familiar Slack or Discord-like interface. Interactions take place in groups of humans and bots or in direct conversations. In the near future, users will be able to grant AI bots the ability to participate autonomously, as well as to take on other multimodal agentic behaviors. By doing all this, Co facilitates more organic and contextualized AI utilization, significantly lowering adoption barriers and improving quality.
At Co, we also believe the current highly verticalized AI product model is unsustainable. Instead of paying for separate platforms like ChatGPT Plus, Claude Pro, and Google One (~$60/month) to use state-of-the-art models, Co integrates them into a unified platform for a fraction of the price (with a free tier coming soon). Open source and specialized alternative models are available, too. Co also provides no-code development tools for users to create their own AI bots and agents. Users can build, discover, and add available AI utilities directly to their spaces. In a pluralistic many-model world, we want Co to be a browser for AI tools.
I founded and built Co in 2024, but I've been tinkering with versions of the platform over the last couple years. I believe in generative AI's immense potential as a positive force driving human progress. To maximize it, we need adoption. To facilitate adoption, we need products that are both familiar and educational for non-technical users. We also need to reduce real barriers to access like cost and to maximize values like privacy and expression. And we need to give users tools to play and build so they can apply the technology according to their own needs. Co is doing all of this and more -- and we're just getting started, join us!
